I have decided to record and post my transcribed word counts (in a weekly round up) as an accountability measure for this daily writing habit I'm trying to solidify. I write more than these counts in longhand, but I cannot be stuffed with counting manually. In any case, it's only the transcribed words that form my rough drafts, so I think it's a better measure.

 Here is this week:

7th Nov: 480
8th Nov: 258
9th Nov: 186
10th Nov: 151
11th Nov: 256

The 5th and 6th are unknown because I didn't decide to do this until the 7th.

Good job. I've finally come to terms with the fact that I'm on a hiatus from writing (for various reasons) and am doing art instead right now, but I'm a big believer in wordcount tracking as motivation. Have you ever heard of getyourwordsout? (They're on dreamwidth.) They have a yearlong challenge to meet certain wordcounts. The reason I mention it is that they use a nifty excel spreadsheet that shows you much you're on track or not to meet certain numbers. (Right now, that prospect seems completely depressing, but I lived and died by it for ... four years?)
